Questions & answers
What does the IIEF-5 score mean?
A score of 22–25 is normal; 17–21 mild erectile dysfunction; 12–16 mild to moderate; 8–11 moderate; 5–7 severe. The score helps the doctor but does not replace an examination.
Can erectile problems be cured?
Many causes are treatable — from managing blood sugar and hormones, changing medication and counselling to medical therapy. The first step is finding the cause.
Why are erections linked to the heart?
The blood vessels in the penis are small, so narrowing of the arteries is often felt there first, before heart symptoms appear.
