Stamina & Male Hormone Check

Ten yes/no questions from the ADAM questionnaire to screen for symptoms of testosterone deficiency in men.

Based on: ADAM questionnaire (Androgen Deficiency in the Aging Male) — Morley et al., Saint Louis University, 2000. The result is an initial screening, not a diagnosis. Your answers and number are kept confidential.

Questions & answers

What is low testosterone?

Testosterone is the main male hormone. Levels can fall with age, excess weight, poor sleep, stress or certain illnesses. Symptoms include lower sex drive, tiredness, muscle loss, weaker erections and mood changes.

How accurate is the ADAM questionnaire?

ADAM is designed for screening — it is sensitive in picking up symptoms, but not everyone with a "suggestive" result actually has low testosterone. Only a blood test can confirm it.

When should a testosterone blood test be done?

In the morning, ideally before 10:00, when testosterone is at its highest. Your doctor may ask for a repeat test to confirm.
